Beijing CBD Embraces Vibrant Lantern Festival Celebration

Enjoying Lanterns, solving lantern riddles, and experiencing intangible cultural heritage of handicrafts... In celebration of the Lantern Festival on February 24, major business districts in Beijing are rolling out a variety of festive activities.

Colorfullanterns illuminate the Beijing Funwith their festive and enchanting decorations.

At Beijing Fun of Qianmen Street, visitors can enjoy not only captivating performances by folk bands but also interactive experience such as display of intangible cultural heritage, the parade showcasing of Hanfu (a traditional attire of the Han Chinese), and lantern riddle guessing.

At night, the Solana Blue Harbor dazzles with lights. The Solana Light Festival will run until mid-March, offering a spectacular display. Partnering with a renowned British lighting studio and POP MART, the business district has introduced light art installations and large cedar structures for photo opportunities, casting a warm glow of starlight across the city's skyline.

From February 23 to February 25, the Lantern Festival Riddle Carnival has been holding in the Moshikou Historical and Cultural Block. Visitors can join lantern parades, solve lantern riddles, and savor a Lantern Festival feast along the Tuoling Ancient Road in West Beijing.

The Song Dynasty-style Garden Party in Hanfu at Chang An Mills, Shougang Park, showcases over 20 national fashion and cultural brands. Visitors can also engage in activities such as crafting lanterns and making cloth tigers, so as to have a taste of the intangible cultural heritage.

A bustling Lantern Festival fair is in full swing at Chaoyang Joy City, while Longhu Beiyuan Paradise Walk, is hosting a garden party in Hanfu adorned with lanterns. At Parkview Green FangCaoDi, visitors can enjoy folk music performances, string quartets, and street dance. The chef from a Michelin-selected restaurant will also personally teach consumers to make Tangyuan (sweet dumplings).

In Fengtai's Joy Breeze, a 20-meter-long dragon lantern lights up the streets, setting the stage for a captivating dragon dance competition during the Lantern Festival. Visitors can also partake in such festive rituals as the lantern parade at the Intime Department Store, Dahongmen branch.
