Section of Greenwood Avenue closed for water main leak repair

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - Clarksville Gas & Water has closed a section of Greenwood Avenue from Madison Street to Clark Street for water main leak repair. Northbound traffic on Greenwood Avenue will be detoured to Washington Street and Clark Street during the work.

Motorists are asked to slow down when approaching the work zone and be alert to utility workers and their equipment or choose an alternate travel route.

A water outage and low water pressure may be possible for the vicinity while the work is underway.

The water line leak repair work is anticipated to be finished and the road reopened by approximately 1 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 1.
