Meister To Moderate Panel on 'Combating Undue Influence and Abuse' at ACTEC Fall Meeting

Taft Cincinnati partner Julia Meister, head of the firm's Wealth Transfer Litigation practice, will moderate a panel on "Private and Public Approaches to Combatting Undue Influence and Abuse" at the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel's (ACTEC) Fall Meeting. The session is scheduled for September 21, 2024, in Chicago.

The panel will explore strategies for identifying and addressing undue influence and elder abuse in both estate planning and litigation. The panelists include a law professor whose unique research focuses on wealth transfer, estate planning, and property law; the Public Guardian in Cook County, Illinois; and a practitioner who has handled an array of such cases.

Meister is an ACTEC Fellow and immediate past chair of its national Elder Law Committee. Her practice includes and non-contested guardianships.
