26th Annual Art and Music Fest in the Pines

All ages are welcome to the City of Pembroke Pines 26th Annual Art & Music Fest in the Pines being held at the Charles F. Dodge City Center, located at 601 City Center Way, on Saturday, November 2 from 11 am to 8 pm and Sunday, November 3, from 12 pm Noon to 5 pm. This two-day art and music celebration is free to the public and attracts people from local and surrounding communities. Music lovers and art enthusiasts alike can expect an unforgettable weekend filled with live interactive performances, artists from throughout the country, diverse cuisine courtesy of Gourmet Truck Expo, hands-on art demonstrations, a student art competition, a kids' art and game zone and so much more. Talented artists will be displaying and selling their work at this juried Art Show. Artist categories include crafts, drawing, painting, jewelry, mixed media, digital art, fine handcrafts, photography and wood. The Art & Music Fest in the Pines is a perfect opportunity to do holiday shopping and in finding unique, handcrafted items for all ages.

In addition, local students will have their artwork on display as part of the 7th Annual Student Art Competition. Student winners will be announced on the main stage on Saturday, November 2 at 2:00 pm. The festival will also feature live music and entertainment including interactive performances by the Arabian Roses, the Samba Queens, the South Florida Cloggers and Sasa African Dance Theater. A tribute band will close out the day on Saturday from 6 to 8 pm. Festival goers are encouraged to bring their own chairs.

The 26th Annual Art and Music Fest in the Pines truly caters to the entire family and all age groups. The Kid's Art and Game Zone features arts and crafts projects for kids by Pines Art Center's teachers, face painting (Saturday 1to 4 pm), and balloon twisting (Sunday 1 to 4 pm) by Ooopsy Entertainment. The Color Bubble will also be onsite both days from 1to 4 pm with their mobile art studio to create paintings and sand art. The Frank C. Ortis Art Gallery will be offering family friendly artist-led workshops for kids throughout the weekend with artist Mary Gallagher Stout on Saturday (12pm, 2 pm or 4 pm) and artist Melanie Oliva on Sunday (12:30 pm, 2:30 pm or 4 pm). Pre-registration at The Frank's front desk is required the day of the festival before each workshop session.
