Employees, students, and families: HR's Annual Wellness Clinic is coming!

October 8, 2024

The Human Resources Benefits Team is holding the annual wellness clinic, for our employees, their families, and students on Oct. 10 and Oct. 25. Our partnered pharmacy vendor will be offering multiple vaccination options along with the flu and COVID booster shots.

Getting your flu, COVID booster, MMR or HPV shot couldn't be easier!

Pharmacists from Albertsons/Haggen Pharmacy will be on-site at the Viking Union (VU) Multipurpose Room (MPR) to administer vaccinations for individuals ages 5 and up. The online schedule for the Oct. 10 clinic is linked below; the scheduler for the Oct. 25 clinic will be released closer to the date of the clinic.

To select the vaccines you want to receive, please ensure that you indicate these preferences on the consent form and in the online scheduler. This will help the Pharmacy techs know how much of each vaccination to bring.

When:

Oct. 10, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in VU 605 MPR

Oct. 25, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in VU 605 MPR

Please read below for instructions on scheduling an appointment and what you will need to bring with you to your appointment. Please note that the high dose flu vaccine is available for individuals 65 years of age and older.

Since we are offering more than the flu and COVID booster shots this season, this is a great opportunity for new WWU employees to get their first and or second MMR shot to finalize the WWU terms of employment. It is also great for families with student-aged children to fulfill any HPV, Meningitis A and B or Hep B requirements.

Reminder emails will be sent out a week prior to both clinics.

What you need to do before the Oct. 10 clinic

Prior to coming to the clinic please fill out the informed consent for immunization form attached to this email and select the vaccinations you want to receive. You will need to bring the filled out hard copy of the consent form with you to your appointment. Blank forms will be present at the clinic, it is recommended to have it completed prior to your appointment to ensure a quicker appointment.

There are two ways you can been seen at the clinic.

Option #1: Please use the online scheduler(recommended) to schedule a time for your flu shot on Oct. 10; bring your vaccine consent form with you to your appointment.

Option #2: Walk-ins are welcome, and paperwork will be available at the clinic. However, it will be faster if you follow option #1 and pre-fill out the consent form attached.

Note for Kaiser participants:

The Benefits team has been notified that the Albertsons/Haggen Pharmacy is in Kaiser's network! However, you still can visit a provider or pharmacy within their network for your flu shot as well.

What you need to bring on the day of the clinic

  • Please bring your Vaccine Consent Form that is attached to this email.
  • Copy of insurance card - Albertsons/Haggen Pharmacy will bill your insurance company.

If you do not have insurance or the Albertsons/Haggen Pharmacy is not in your network, you can bring check, exact cash or the attached credit card consent form and Albertsons will charge your card on file for the dose(s) you received. The rate per dose can be viewed in the "Vaccine Shots offered" document, also attached to this email.

What to wear

Please wear clothing that allows easy access to the upper arm.

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to protect you against the flu this season!
