Please note: Parking lots are full at some shelters, such as Gibbs High School and Largo High School. Shelter space is still available, but residents may have to park on a nearby street and walk to the shelter.

The shelters with the most space as of 7 p.m. on Tuesday are Melrose Elementary School at 1752 13th Ave. S. in St. Petersburg, Clearwater Fundamental Middle School at 1660 Palmetto St. in Clearwater and Belleair Elementary School at 1156 Lakeview Rd. in Clearwater.

A complete list of open shelters can be found at disaster.pinellas.gov.

Mandatory evacuations remain in effect for all Zone A, B, and C (including high-rise buildings), all countywide mobile home parks, all residents with special needs. Plan to be in the location where you will ride out the storm, outside of an evacuation zone, before tropical storm-force winds arrive in our area on Wednesday.
