Pedestrian Fatally Struck On Murfreesboro Pike Friday Night

The pedestrian fatally struck in Friday's 8 p.m. crash on Murfreesboro Pike has been identified as Larry Brown, 72. The preliminary investigation indicates Brown was crossing Murfreesboro Pike from west to east approximately 275 feet from the Nashboro Boulevard intersection when a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck traveling southbound struck him.

Brown was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he died.

The Silverado driver, Leonardo De Jesus Guerrero, 29, of LaVergne, did not show signs of impairment at the scene. He was charged for driving without a license or insurance.
