As part of our ongoing commitment to external communications and providing valuable information to our community, the Department posts preliminary information about incidents that occurred the previous evening, including shootings and stabbings, as well as any other LBPD updates to the Department's homepage and on the "News" tab of the Department's website. This page will be updated as new incidents occur.
Here's a recap of incidents occurring last night:

  • No-hit shooting - 5800 block of Locust Avenue: On Sept. 27, 2024 at approximately 9:37 p.m., officers responded to the 5800 block of Locust Avenue regarding a shots call. Officers located evidence indicating a shooting had occurred. The suspect(s) fled the scene prior to officers' arrival. Suspect information and the motive for the shooting are under investigation. No injuries were reported.

  • No-hit shooting - 500 block of Linden Avenue: On Sept. 27, 2024 at approximately 9:39 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Linden Avenue regarding a shots call. Officers located evidence indicating a shooting had occurred. The suspects(s) fled the scene prior to officers' arrival. Suspect information and the motive for the shooting are under investigation. No injuries were reported.

Great work officers! Last night, officers safely took another gun off the streets.

  • On Sept. 27, 2024 at approximately 11:36 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the 1400 block of Henderson Street. During the investigation, officers recovered a firearm. The suspect was arrested, and the investigation is ongoing.
