Weekly Road Construction Update - July 7 to July 13

Chip Seal (Sisters Area)- Deschutes County crews will be chip sealing the following roads (weather permitting):

Traffic Information- Road users should anticipate single lane closures facilitated by flaggers and delays of up to 20 minutes during work hours. 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Thursday.

Powell Butte Highway/Butler Market Road Intersection Improvement (Bend Area)-Excavation and grading work will be occurring along Powell Butte Highway near Butler Market Road.Traffic Information- Beginning July 8, the north entrance to the Bend Municipal Airport will be closed and 24-hour flagging will be occurring along Powell Butte Highway for roundabout construction. Road users should access the airport from the south entrance. Butler Market Road remains closed to traffic between Powell Butte Highway and Dickey Road. A designated detour route is in place via Nelson Road and Dickey Road. The speed limit along the detour route is 35 mph. Old Bend Redmond Highway/S Canal Boulevard (Tumalo/Redmond Areas)- Installation of permanent pavement markings will be occurring along Old Bend Redmond Highway and S Canal Boulevard.Traffic Information- Road users should expect single-lane closures facilitated by flaggers and delays of up to 20 minutes during work hours, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. Smith Rock Way Bridge Replacement (Terrebonne Area)- Final trimming and cleanup work will be occurring at the Smith Rock Way Bridge. Traffic Information- Smith Rock Way is open to traffic between NE 33^rd Street and Lambert Road. Road users should use caution and expect construction equipment entering and exiting the roadway. Butler Market Road Closure (Bend Area)- Road work is occurring on Butler Market Road between Eagle Road and Clyde Lane.Traffic Information- The westbound lane of Butler Market Road is closed to traffic between Eagle Road and Clyde Lane. A detour route for westbound traffic is in place via Hamehook Road and Deschutes Market Road. Huntington Road & Burgess Road Utility Work (La Pine Area)- Utility work will be occurring along Huntington Road south of Burgess Road. Utility work will also be occurring along Burgess Road near Glenwood Road. Traffic Information- Shoulder closures and single-lane closures facilitated by flaggers will be occurring on Burgess Road and Huntington Road. Road users should exercise caution and expect delays of up to 20 minutes during work hours.
