State of NC Solicits Vendors for New State Contract for Cybersecurity Solutions

The new Cybersecurity Products and Services state contract establishes a consolidated portfolio of solutions to meet the evolving cybersecurity needs for the state.

The N.C. Department of Information Technology is inviting vendors who offer IT cybersecurity software, products and services to submit bids on an RFP for a new comprehensive cybersecurity solutions state contract.

The new state contract, Cybersecurity Products and Services, consolidates three existing term contracts (208T Tanium Master Agreement, 208M Endpoint Protection and 918A Security Assessment Services) into one. Doing so establishes a single and flexible portfolio of solutions to meet the evolving cybersecurity needs for the state.

This solicitation will result in a term contract that will allow eligible entities to select individual cybersecurity products and services that align with their specific requirements.

Executive Branch state agencies will be required to use the contract. In addition, it will be available as an optional convenience contract to county and local governments, the University of North Carolina System and its member campuses as well as public education systems and community colleges.

The eVP portal is the primary single-source system for the state and enables all vendors to see new bid postings and existing competitive bid postings. Vendors must be registered to receive notification of the solicitation posting and to submit responses to the RFP. Any vendor that is planning to respond to the RFP should immediately register in the eVP system.

How to Bid

All bids must be submitted using the state's eVP system, which provides a self-service portal where vendors can register to:

• Participate in electronic procurement activities, including the submission of this bid response
• Participate in the state's Historically Underutilized Business program and the North Carolina Small Business Enterprise program
• Receive information on upcoming bids

Vendors who are not registered in eVP should register a week in advance before submitting a bid response.

It is important that all vendors bidding on this RFP periodically check the eVP system for addenda that may be issued prior to the offer opening date.

Bid Awards

Once the bid closes, NCDIT's selection committees, including security, privacy and legal, will review the responses and awards will be announced on a rolling basis based on category.
