WHAT: The University of Hawaiʻi band program and Meadow Gold Dairies will host nearly 20 Oʻahu high schools at the 43nd annual Rainbow Invitational marching band festival. The event is fun, noncompetitive, and a chance for high school bands to perform their shows, celebrate the accomplishments of other bands and receive feedback from nationally renowned judges. The invitational concludes with a special performance by the UH Rainbow Warrior Marching Band.

WHEN: Monday, November 11, starting at 9:30 a.m.

WHERE: Clarence T.C. Ching Athletics Complex at UH Mānoa

Tickets are $15 (general admission) and $10 (students and seniors). Attendees are encouraged to purchase tickets online or at the door.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

  • Since 1979, the UH Rainbow Warrior Marching Band has been proud to offer this unique opportunity for high school marching bands to gather in a non-competitive setting to display their skills and accomplishments.
  • Event judges: Patrick Duncan (drill writer)-visual and general effect judge, Archie Birkner (University of Florida Assistant Director of Bands)-music judge, Tom Rarick (Bluecoats Drum & Bugle Corps, Innovative Percussion & Tama Artist)-percussion judge, and Robert King (retired UH Color Guard director)-color guard judge
