The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) New York City Transit (NYCT) is encouraging those planning to attend the annual New York City Veterans Day Parade on Monday, Nov. 11 to take public transportation to the parade route. The parade begins at 12:30 p.m. and runs north along Fifth Ave. from 25 St. to 45 St. To get to the parade route, customers can ride the subway to the following stations:
• 23 St
• 23 St
• 28 St
• 28 St
• 42 St-Bryant Park
• Grand Central-42 St
In addition, there will be changes to bus service with buses running along Fifth Ave. subject to reroutes and delays during the parade.
Bus Service
• X27, X28, X37, X38, BM1, BM2, BM3, BM4, BM5, BXM3, BXM4, BXM6, BXM7, BXM8, BXM9, BXM10, BXM11, M1, M2, M3, SIM1C, SIM3, SIM3C, SIM4C, SIM8, SIM8X, SIM10, SIM23, SIM24, SIM25, SIM30, SIM31, SIM33C will use Lexington Ave.
• M4, M5, M55 will use Seventh Ave.
• QM1, QM2, QM3, QM4, QM5, QM6, QM10, QM12, QM15, QM16, QM17, QM18, QM20, QM24 will use Madison Ave.
• Q32 will use Sixth Ave. Northbound and Seventh Ave. Southbound
Buses not running on the affected routes will run on regular weekday schedules.
New York City Subway
Subway service will run on a regular weekday schedule.
Long Island Rail Road and Metro-North Railroad
Both the Long Island Rail Road and Metro-North Railroad will run on a regular weekday schedule.
