Austin 9 1 1 Experiencing Occasional Technical Difficulties

The capital area region is currently experiencing occasional technical difficulties with the 9-1-1 system.

The impact on the Austin area has resulted in 9-1-1 callers and call-takers having difficulty hearing each other, missing automatic location information, and causing some calls to be answered by a neighboring jurisdiction.

This is not a complete outage of the 9-1-1 system. Emergency calls are still coming through. Until these technical issues with 9-1-1 are resolved, callers experiencing a life-threatening emergency and having difficulty getting through to 9-1-1 should call 3-1-1 or 512-974-2000.
