CEREC® Software 5.3 Update Enhances Workflow Flexibility and Expands Manufacturing Capabilities with DS Core Integration

Available from mid-October 2024*, Dentsply Sirona introduces CEREC Software 5.3 as a major step forward in cloud-based dentistry. This update integrates seamlessly with DS Core and the Primescan 2 intraoral scanner, offering improved workflow flexibility, easier data transfers¹ , and new opportunities for practice growth.

Dentsply Sirona continues to expand its digital capabilities with the launch of CEREC Software 5.3, which connects CEREC workflows to the DS Core cloud platform and the new Primescan 2² intraoral scanner. In addition, it also integrates with Primescan AC and Primescan Connect. This integration allows dental professionals to upload designs to DS Core, streamline various workflows, and securely share files - all through a single, centralized platform.

Expanded Manufacturing Capabilities

DS Core now includes new Manufacturing features, allowing centralized management of all manufacturing tasks and equipment in one place. This streamlines the production process, improves equipment management, and simplifies documentation with automated reports. Users can initiate and monitor production remotely, from any connected device, with just a single click.

Leveraging the cloud-native capabilities of Primescan 2 and DS Core

Alongside CEREC Software 5.3, Dentsply Sirona introduced Primescan 2, the first cloud-native intraoral scanning solution. Powered by DS Core², the wireless Primescan 2 can scan directly to the cloud on any internet-connected device. This cloud integration allows dental professionals to carry out consultations, lab orders, and treatment planning from any connected device within the practice.

With CEREC Software 5.3, practices can now share and manage data with greater flexibility. The software connects the various devices-from intraoral scanners. to in-house manufacturing via CEREC Primemill®-through DS Core. Dentists can use this single platform to securely share files with labs, manage orders, and oversee in-house manufacturing, offering improved efficiency at every stage.

CEREC Software 5.3, combined with DS Core's new Manufacturing features, enables dental practices to increase flexibility in control of in-house production workflows. Designs can be uploaded and manufacturing started remotely from any location, with just a single click. Centralized management of tasks, equipment, and consumables ensures optimal utilization, and automated reports provide full traceability, right down to individual patients.
