Mayor's Office of Cultural Economy Announces Super Bowl LIX Opportunities for Artists and Cultural Businesses

NEW ORLEANS - The Mayor's Office of Cultural Economy (OCE) today announced a special opportunity for New Orleans artists and cultural businesses to collaborate with Super Bowl LIX. Professionals in the cultural and creative industries are encouraged to respond to the call for interest form and submit their contact information, which will be added to the Cultural Economy Directory. OCE will share this information with the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation, Super Bowl leadership and NFL-affiliated stakeholders.

Respondents will be considered for participation in official Super Bowl LIX events and activations leading up to and on game day, Feb. 9, 2025. Potential opportunities include the NFL Experience, NFL Honors, Host Committee events, pre-game activities, Super Bowl perimeter activities and more.

OCE Director Lisa Alexis also serves as Co-Chair of the Hospitality and Events Committee for Super Bowl LIX.

"This is a unique chance to recognize and showcase our local talent during one of the most highly anticipated events of the year," said Alexis. "As stewards of the arts and culture, our office wants to ensure that our community is prepared to engage when prime opportunities present themselves."

The call for interest is open to individuals in a range of artistic disciplines: traditional cultural artists, brass bands, amplified bands, youth bands (including high school and college), visual artists, gospel/spiritual artists, culinary professionals, movement artists, DJs, emcees, photographers and videographers, film industry vendors, designers (fashion, graphic, floats), event managers, writers and publishers, tour guides, makeup artists, hair stylists and barbers.

A link to the Call for Interest form can be found here.

The call for interest form will remain open as long as opportunities are available; however, primary consideration will be given to those who submit their information by Aug. 28.

OCE is dedicated to fostering economic growth and vitality within New Orleans' diverse cultural sectors. The mission of OCE is to create an environment where artists, creatives and cultural producers can thrive, contributing to the overall economic well-being of our city.
