TIME UPDATE: Nighttime Intermittent Lane Closures on the Bridge Over U.S. 30 from Southbound I-380 to Begin Thursday Night

From the IDOT: If you travel south on Interstate 380 to reach eastbound U.S. 30 near Cedar Rapids, you need to be aware of an upcoming construction project that may slow down your trip.

Starting on Thursday night, Nov. 16, until Friday, Dec. 8, weather permitting, construction crews will intermittently close lanes on the bridge over U.S. 30 for the southbound I-380 to eastbound U.S. 30 ramp from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. daily so work can be performed.

Help keep everyone on the road safer. Drive with caution, obey the posted speed limit and other signs in the work area, and be aware that traffic fines for moving violations are at least double in work zones. As in all work zones, you should stay alert, allow ample space between vehicles, and wear seat belts.
