The program kicked off with a variety of critical topics, including an overview of software, personal protective equipment, hardware, knot-tying techniques, basic anchor system, and basic rappelling techniques, which was attended by 25 participants. DSO's were also engaged in a practical knot-tying exercise, preparing them for the actual demonstration.

On the second day, standard anchoring and rappelling were also performed by each DSO's at the AFMechERN Building assisted by BFP-Science City of Munoz. Moreover, the afternoon sessions covered ladder rescue techniques and an emergency rescue transfer demonstration, highlighting essential skills for life-saving operations in high-risk situations.

As part of the comprehensive training, DSO's were divided into two groups for a Field Training Exercise, where they performed standard anchoring and rappelling, ladder rescue, and emergency rescue transfer in simulated real-life emergency scenarios allowing participants to apply their newly acquired skills in a controlled environment.

"Importante ang Fire Safety Training (na ito) lalo na saaming mga DSO para ma-ensure namin ang kaligtasan ng mga employees o yamang tao ng PHilMech kung magkaroon man ng insidente na nagmumula sa apoy," said Engr. Edsel Radovan, Division Safety Officer from BMTSS.
