APO flagship training course on Green Productivity

An online training course hosted by the National Productivity Organization, Pakistan, and APO Secretariat was held 8-12 July. It introduced the GP methodology, tools, and techniques, highlighting GP as a pathway to decouple industrialization from environmental degradation and understand the requirements to become APO Certified GP Specialists.

Twenty-one participants from 11 APO members completed the course, guided by three resource persons from Norway, Thailand, and Pakistan, who explained the implications of linear industrialization, emerging regulatory landscape, and supporting sustainability concepts. In addition to their presentations, resource persons guided participants in group work on a bottle manufacturing case study to apply their learning from sessions in developing GP options and estimating envisaged savings. The training prepared them to become APO Certified GP Specialists, creating multiplier effects at ground level.

One attendee noted, "Very good teaching and the courses should continue," recognizing the APO's GP concept as a pathway to a greener, more sustainable future.
