Reclamation selects Ed Young as deputy regional director, business services for California-Great Basin

"I am very pleased to announce the selection of Ed as the region's newest deputy regional director for business services," said California-Great Basin Regional Director Karl Stock. "Ed has built a wealth of knowledge, experience, and relationships over his 10 years with Reclamation that will serve him and the region very well in his new position. I cannot emphasize enough how critical the mission support functions he will oversee are to the success of the region and to Reclamation's mission in the California-Great Basin Region."

Young joined Reclamation in 2014 as a regional budget analyst. He became the assistant budget officer in 2017 and was promoted to the region's budget officer in 2018. In 2022, he became the region's program and budget manager where he was responsible for developing integrated long-term and short-term regional program plans, strategies, and budgets. Prior to joining Reclamation, Young served as a budget analyst for the Department of Defense at Travis Air Force Base and in Arlington, VA. Young served in the Marine Corps from 2004 to 2008.
