PennDOT Announces Virtual Plans Display for Chartiers Creek Bridge (Gabby Bridge) Replacement Project in Washington County

​Uniontown, PA - Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) Engineering District 12, along with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), invites the community to participate in the virtual plans display of the Chartiers Creek Bridge No. 64 (Gabby Bridge) Replacement Project in North Franklin Township, Washington County.

The purpose of the project is to correct the structural deficiencies of the bridge and to provide a safe and efficient crossing of Ridgewood Drive over Chartiers Creek.

Information on the Chartiers Creek Bridge No. 64 (Gabby Bridge) Replacement Project, including a short overview and an online comment form, is available on the PennDOT website beginning today, Thursday, October 31, through Thursday, November 14.

Visit the PennDOT District 12 website at http://www.penndot.pa.gov/District12. Click the Design and Construction Projects link under the District Links heading, click the Washington County box, and select the Gabby Bridge Replacement tile.

The online plans display introduces the project and elicits public input regarding questions or concerns. The public may also review and comment on the project's potential effects on Cultural Resources, according to the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation's 36 CFR Part 800 regulations implementing Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act.
