MPD Searching for Armed Robbery Suspect

The Metropolitan Police Department is asking for the community's assistance in locating a suspect involved in a robbery in Northwest.

On Sunday, December 1, 2024, at approximately 2:16 a.m., Third District officers responded to a report of a robbery in the 900 block of Florida Avenue, Northwest. The victim reported that while walking in the area, they were approached by three suspects. One suspect brandished a firearm, assaulted the victim, and demanded property. The victim complied and the suspects fled the scene. The victim was treated at the scene by DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services for non-life-threatening injuries.

Anyone who has knowledge of this incident should take no action but call police at (202) 727-9099 or text your tip to the Department's TEXT TIP LINE at 50411. The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $10,000 to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a violent crime committed in the District of Columbia.
