Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 3211 Rosedale Street

September 5, 2024- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a woman at 3211 Rosedale Street about 5:10 a.m. today (Sept. 5).

The identity of the female, 21, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Detectives J. Caten and M. Barrow reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a shooting call outside a residence at the above address and found the woman in the driver's seat of a vehicle. She had suffered at least one gunshot wound. Paramedics pronounced her deceased at the scene.

A male, 21, told detectives at the scene that he and the woman were involved in an argument and that when she tried to run him over with the vehicle, he shot at her, striking her. The vehicle then crashed into a curb.

The investigation is continuing. No charges have been filed at this time.
