WHAT: Maui Fire Department continue to battle the fire. Maui Police Department controlling traffic and assisting with voluntary evacuations due to smoke
WHERE: Brush in area of Iao Stream and Haleki'i Pihana Heiau
WHEN: Tuesday August 13 at 3pm
IMPACTS: Respiratory distress and visibility due to smoke inundation

Avoid the area if possible to allow emergency personnel to work safely. Maui Emergency Management Agency notifies the public in the Wailuku area to prepare now to evacuate yourself and your family. Monitor radio, TV, and mobile devices for official information.
