Meeting of Foreign Minister Mondino with the Ambassador of Portugal at the end of his mission in our country

Accompanied by her Chief of Staff and future Ambassador to Portugal, Federico Barttfeld, Foreign Minister Diana Mondino received the Ambassador of that country, José Frederico Ludovice, who is about to finish his mission as head of the Portuguese diplomatic representation in Argentina.

The meeting allowed for a review of the four years of Ambassador Ludovice's tenure, during which the 200th anniversary of diplomatic relations between both countries was commemorated in 2021.

The Portuguese representative expressed his gratitude to the Foreign Minister for her support in his mission, highlighting the growth of the bilateral exchange of goods and services, the joint development of cooperation programs in various areas, the coincidence in multilateral forums and the participation of Lisbon as the guest City of Honor at the last edition of the Book Fair, in Buenos Aires.

Ambassador Ludovice also reiterated his country's support for the conclusion of the MERCOSUR-EU Agreement and Argentina's entry into the OECD.

Argentina and Portugal maintain an excellent bilateral relationship and a dynamic trade exchange that exceeds US$ 230 million.
