The 19th annual Walk for Wildlife will be on September 21 from 8:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. All proceeds benefit the wildlife rehabilitation program (R-PAWS). The 2024 mascot is Peaches, the Salmon-Crested Cockatoo! Learn more about Peaches by clicking here.
Over 6,500 orphaned, injured, and ill wild animals are found by the public and brought to the Wildlife Sanctuary every year in need of help. They rely on donations for specialized formulas and food, different caging for healing and development, medicine, enrichment, and many more items. With volunteers, donations, and this fundraiser, the Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary's R-PAWS program gives each animal the chance they deserve to become wild again!
"The Walk for Wildlife is a great opportunity for everyone to share in the natural wonders that the Sanctuary holds," said Lori Bankson, Bay Beach Wildlife Sanctuary Curator of Animals. "It's a great way to enjoy the outdoors while raising necessary funds for local wildlife rehabilitation! We couldn't do it without our staff, volunteers, participants, donors, and sponsors."
