Construction on Draper Street - Update

Work on Draper Street and Lewis Street in Downtown Kingsburg began earlier this week. Work will include the installation of bulb-out curb ramps on Lewis St. at the following intersections: Marion, Smith, Lincoln, and Washington Streets. This work will be done in two phases. The north side will be done first, work began Monday, August 19, and will continue through Friday, August 30.

On Draper St., additional concrete work will also be completed near Los Pepes Restaurant and Kingsburg First Baptist Church, which should be completed by Friday, August 23.

Draper St. from Sierra St. to California St. will be intermittently closed on Wednesday, August 28 so the contractor can complete crack sealing and road preparation. On Thursday, August 29th, the road will be closed from approximately 5:00am - 6:00pm so the contractor can apply a type III slurry seal. For approximately two weeks thereafter, Draper Street may not have any pavement markings, but will be open for regular parking and business. Please be aware and use caution and reason when parking along Draper St.

Residents, pedestrians, and businesses should be aware of traffic control and that parking may be limited or restricted.
