August 27 Storm Update #2

Last night, more than 6,000 ComEd customers in the Village lost power following a powerful storm. Most homes had power restored before the morning. By 10 a.m., 4,475 homes and businesses had power restored, leaving 1,482 without power. At this time, 270 are still without power. You can track the status of power outages at ComEd's Outage Map.

ComEd crews are still working to restore power to the remaining homes and will continue this work until everyone is once again fully powered. Village staff has been in close contact with ComEd representatives since the first outages last night and will continue to monitor the situation until everyone's power is restored.

Please place any tree limbs or debris from the storm at the curb by Thursday night for collection on Friday by Public Works. Anything placed at the curb after Thursday will be subject to LRS collection protocols. Public Works was in overnight and will continue to perform cleanup throughout the week.
