Mirosław Wróblewski, President of the Personal Data Protection Office, together with his associates, met with representatives of the Inter-Trade Union of Data Protection Officers and Administrators of Information Security. The meeting was another opportunity for dialogue with representatives of various communities involved in personal data protection.

During the meeting, Mirosław Wróblewski, President of the Personal Data Protection Office, presented current activities undertaken by the Polish SA, i.e. plans for cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Affairs in responding to data breach incidents. Issues related to the creation of a unified breach notification system were also discussed, the implementation of which will be the responsibility of the S46 cyber security management system operating within National Research Institute.

The President of the Data Protection Office also informed about the ongoing work to include the position of personal data protection officer in the list of official positions. A letter has been sent to the Head of the Civil Service on this issue. The idea is expected to be consulted by ministries soon.

The discussions also focused on the role of the Data Protection Officer, which is crucial from an organisational security perspective. In this regard, the Personal Data Protection Office is undertaking numerous educational initiatives to make controllers aware of the proper position and role of DPOs in their organisation.

At the end of the meeting, both the Personal Data Protection Office and the Inter-Trade Union of Data Protection Officers and Administrators of Information Security declared their continued willingness to work together to support DPOs.
