Insurance Authority warns against fraudulent websites

The Insurance Authority (IA) today (22 November 2024) wishes to alert members of the public to two fraudulent websites with the domain names of "www[.]jmjc[.]cc" and "aiaplus[.]hk" respectively. The aforesaid fraudulent websites purport to be the official websites of an authorized insurer of Hong Kong, AIA International Limited (AIA). AIA has confirmed that it has no connection with the fraudulent websites.

The case has been reported to the Hong Kong Police Force for further investigation. Anyone who has provided personal information to the aforesaid websites or has conducted any insurance transactions through the websites should call AIA Customer Service Hotline at (852) 2232-8888, and report the case to the Hong Kong Police Force.
