1. The Preparatory Office for APEC 2025 unveiled its official emblem for the APEC 2025 Korea during the APEC Ministerial Meeting (AMM) held in Peru on Thursday, November 14, 2024.

2. Designed to reflect the theme and priorities of APEC 2025 Korea*, the emblem also highlights the rich historical beauty of Korean culture.

3. As its central motif, the emblem features a butterfly that contributes to the prosperity of the ecosystem by moving from flower to flower. This reflects the purpose of connecting APEC member economies and fostering the prosperity of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation, with the flapping of its wings representing innovation and transformation that it will spark.

4. On the right side of the emblem is a treasure 'Sumaksae' (The Roof-end Tile with Human Face Motif of Gyeongju), embodying the authentic beauty of Korean culture and welcoming APEC members to Korea with the timeless smile of Silla.

5. The Preparatory Office for APEC 2025 commissioned the emblem's design through a private contract launched in August, with the final selection made by an external expert advisory group and the Korea APEC 2025 Organizing Committee.

6. This emblem will be utilized for the promotional activities for the APEC 2025 Korea and relevant events.
