Suspect Arrested After a Double Stabbing

At about 9:12 PM, on Saturday, August 17, 2024, officers assigned to District C-6 (South Boston) responded to the area of 1003 Massachusetts Avenue for a report of a person stabbed.

Upon arrival, officers observed an individual holding a male on the ground who was armed with a knife. Officers were quickly able to disarm the person with the knife and placed him in handcuffs.

Officers observed two victims suffering from stab wounds and Boston EMS began medical treatment. Two adult male victims were transported to local hospitals, one with life threatening injuries and the other with non-life-threatening injuries. Due to the extent of the victims' injuries, Homicide Detectives were requested and responded to the scene. Detectives were able to recover two knives from the scene.

After further investigation, Conrad Burnette, 62, of Milton, was placed under arrest and charged with Two Counts of Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon. He is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
