Baruch College is not only nationally recognized for its academic excellence, it's the leader when it comes to value.

According to the latest Wall Street Journal/College Pulse ranking, Baruch claimed the #1 spot-among both public and private institutes across the U.S.-for delivering best value when obtaining a college degree.

This marks the second consecutive year that Baruch ranked top value of any college or university nationwide.

"Pathway to Lucrative Careers"

The Wall Street Journal/College Plus best-value calculation assesses how quickly "a degree from each college pays for its cost through the salary boost it provides its students."

"Colleges that finish atop the best-value list both keep costs low and put graduates on pathways to lucrative careers," the media outlet reported.

For a Baruch graduate, it takes only three months to pay off its average net price, reports the media outlet.

Top Public College in New York

In addition to the #1 best value ranking, Baruch placed #1 among public institutions in New York State, and among the top 25 nationally, on Wall Street Journal/College Pulse's the "2025 Best Colleges in the U.S." list.

These top placements add to Baruch's growing list of rankings and recognitions for this year alone, including "Highest Payoff" from Forbes; "Best Value" from The Princeton Review and Niche.com; and Money's "Best Colleges" list.

Methodology

To determine the rankings, The Wall Street Journal and College Pulse evaluated 500 schools based on student outcomes, learning environment, and diversity. They also collaborated with Statista and surveyed more than 110,000 undergraduates and recent alumni who were asked to provide feedback on schools that are a great value to its students in terms of tuition, career preparation, degree completion, campus life, and the likelihood of a higher salary after graduation.
