The Strategic Plan 2031 Core Team's report outlining the group's recommendations for which priorities to pursue, as well as the most optimal timing to implement them, was received by the Executive Leadership Team, Acting President and Provost Kimo Ah Yun announced today.

In developing the report, the Core Team worked with a cross-campus advisory committee and 19 priority teams comprising dozens of faculty, staff and students representing relevant expertise and governance bodies from across campus, identified and refined the priorities throughout the spring semester.

The report outlining all recommendations and their suggested sequencing is available online.

"The Core Team and the 19 priority leads and their respective teams took the aspirational Guided by Mission, Inspired to Change plan framework to recommend possible next steps to fulfill our vision of being among the most innovative and accomplished Catholic and Jesuit universities in the world," Acting President Ah Yun said. "I want to thank Core Team co-chairs Dr. Chris Navia, acting vice president for belonging and student affairs, and Rev. John Thiede, S.J., vice president for mission and ministry, along with the advisory committee, priority leads and their teams for their work."

In the coming weeks, ELT will name co-leads who will refine recommendations and identify an actionable, measurable set of strategies and create an organizational leadership structure for implementation of Strategic Plan 2031.

Marquette 2031: Securing Our Future initiatives to be implemented through strategic plan's Healthy Campus theme

As the Securing Our Future Steering Committee completes its work and delivers recommendations to ELT in the coming weeks, those recommendations will ultimately be carried out through the Strategic Plan 2031 implementation process as part of the plan's Healthy Campus theme.

"The stated goals of our Healthy Campus theme make clear that 'delivering on our mission requires establishing a culture that can work collaboratively, consider resources in new ways and move intentionally to adapt to challenges,'" Acting President Ah Yun said. "This is the very crux of Marquette 2031: Securing Our Future - its initiatives will be most effectively put into action through the thoughtful implementation of our strategic plan."
