How lullabies are improving health care for Black women and their babies

Alameda Health System (AHS) was featured in the East Bay Times for an innovative program that pairs expecting moms with local musicians to write and sing original lullabies for their babies.

This is the second round of The AHS Lullaby Project, which is a partnership with Carnegie Hall and Noe Music. Patients in Beloved Birth Black Centering, a midwife-led group perinatal care program operated by AHS in partnership with Alameda County Health and the Beloved Birth Collective, report having better birth outcomes after receiving care from an all-Black care team.

The Lullaby Project is a new offering to Beloved Birth Black Centering patients. Hear more about what they have to say in the article.
