Bridge Cleaning Next Week on Route 522 in Penn Township, Snyder County

Montoursville, PA - Motorists are advised of a lane restriction next week on Route 522 in Penn Township, Snyder County, for bridge maintenance.

On Friday, September 20, 2024, a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation bridge crew will perform bridge cleaning of the truss bridge over Penns Creek near the intersection with Airport Road, north of Selinsgrove. Work includes cleaning the bridge deck, sidewalk, and abutment bearings. A specialized crane will be used to perform cleaning of the abutment bearings.

Motorists can expect single lane conditions with flagging. Work will be performed between the hours of 8:45 AM and 2:15 PM, weather permitting.

Motorists should be alert, slow down, expect delays in travel, and drive with caution through the work zone.
