Line Painting on Route 11 in the Town of Bloomsburg and Montour Township, Columbia County

Montoursville, PA - Motorists are advised of a line painting operation on a portion of Route 11 near the Route 42 interchange in the Town of Bloomsburg and Montour Township, Columbia County.

On Thursday, September 12, 2024, the contractor will be placing temporary line paint on Route 11 between Washington Street in the Town of Bloomsburg and Cross Road in Montour Township. Motorists should watch for slow moving traffic, lane shifts, and wet paint.

Motorists should be alert, slow down, and use caution in this area. Permanent line paint is being scheduled.

Vestal Asphalt, Inc., is the prime contractor for this $1.9 million resurfacing project on Route 11 between East Street in the Town of Bloomsburg and the Montour County line in Montour Township and Poplar Street in the Town of Bloomsburg, and from the Northumberland/Montour County line in Point Township for two miles to the west of the Borough of Danville. Work on this project includes removal of the pavement markings, applying 2 microsurface layers, and application of line painting. Work on this project is expected to be completed in the fall of 2024.
