NOPD Arrests Suspect in Second District School Threat Incident

On November 19, 2024, the NOPD arrested a 15-year-old juvenile female suspect in the investigation of a threat made to a local school on November 13, 2024.

On November 13, a reported threat of violence was made via social media toward Eleanor McMain Secondary School in the 5700 block of South Claiborne Avenue. NOPD was notified of the incident and immediately launched an investigation.

On November 19, the juvenile female arrived with her mother to the NOPD Second District station and spoke with detectives. At that time, the juvenile admitted her involvement in the incident. The juvenile was subsequently arrested and booked into the Juvenile Justice Intervention Center on one count of terrorizing.

Investigation into this incident is ongoing. No additional information is currently available.
