Boil Water Notice for Water Main Break on Carissa Ave. Off Summerfield Rd.

UPDATE 8/09/24, 5:00 PM: BOIL WATER NOTICE RELATED TO CARISSA AVE. WATER MAIN BREAK

Santa Rosa Water is issuing a Boil Water Notice to areas affected by the water outage due to a water main break this morning on Carissa Avenue off Summerfield Road in Southeast Santa Rosa. Residents in affected areas are advised by Santa Rosa Water to only use boiled tap water or bottled water for drinking and cooking purposes as a safety precaution to avoid stomach or intestinal illness.

Affected areas include: Slate Dr., Hardstone Drive, Quartz Drive, Boulder Lane, Upper Annadel Heights, Las Mesitas Drive, Old Ranch Road, Hillsboro Circle area, and Foxwood Place.

Santa Rosa Water crews will inform residents when tests show water is safe to drink. The situation is anticipated to be resolved within 72 hours.

INITIAL INCIDENT, 08/09/2024, 11:20 AM: SANTA ROSA WATER CREWS REPAIRING WATER MAIN BREAK ON CARISSA AVE. OFF SUMMERFIELD RD.

Santa Rosa Water crews are on site and working to repair a water main break on Carissa Avenue directly off Summerfield Road in Southeast Santa Rosa. Crews have restored water services to all customers after the break on the 16" main, which was first reported at approximately 7:50 a.m. An approximately 300-foot section of Carissa Avenue is closed at this time.

Crews are beginning excavation, repair, cleanup, and water quality assessment. Santa Rosa Water expects to maintain partial closures of Carissa Avenue through the weekend, possibly extending into early next week, to allow for full road repairs. Please check back for updates.
