Union City Announces Extension of Nomination Period for City Council Member District 1

The City of Union City announces the extension of the nomination period for the upcoming General Municipal Election scheduled for November 5, 2024 for the office of City Council - District 1. This extension is necessary as the incumbent for the Office of City Council - District 1 did not file during the initial nomination period.

Starting immediately, the City Clerk's office will continue issuing nomination papers to prospective candidates for the position of City Council Member representing District 1. The extended nomination period will remain open until 5:00 PM on Wednesday, August 15, 2024.

Prospective candidates must schedule an appointment with the City Clerk's office to obtain and file their nomination papers. Appointments can be made by contacting the City Clerk's Office directly.
