Jordan Central Park Grant Award Through ORLP

On Wednesday, September 25th, the U.S. Department of the Interior announced an $11 million grant to the City of Los Angeles to support the development of Jordan Downs Central Park, awarded through the Outdoor Recreation Legacy Partnership Program (ORLP). This funding was secured through HACLA's collaboration with Mayor Karen Bass's office.

The park will include a flexible lawn for soccer and futsal, two basketball courts, walking paths, native landscaping, an accessible community pool, and more. These enhancements are a key part of the larger Jordan Downs revitalization effort, which aims to create green, accessible spaces while continuing to develop much-needed housing and walking/bike paths for the community.
