VIDEO: Community Redevelopment Agency Announces Major Land Acquisition to Revitalize South Cape

The City of Cape Coral's Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) is planning to purchase nearly 19 acres of land to the east of Bimini Basin in a strategic move to revitalize this part of the city. The CRA Board is set to vote on this item at a special meeting Wednesday, Aug. 7, at 4 p.m.

The CRA's mission is to address blight and foster economic growth in areas that have seen decline. The neighborhood surrounding the CRA's planned purchase, located south of Cape Coral Parkway between Tarpon Court and Coronado Parkway, has long been struggling and is still recovering from the devastation of Hurricane Ian.
