B-2 Officers Arrest Suspect Following a Person with a Knife Call

At about 4:37 AM, on Saturday, June 29, 2024, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury) arrested Micheal Williams, 38, of Dorchester, on assault charges.

Officers responded to the area of 238 Warren Street for a report of a person with a knife. Boston Police Operations provided officers with a description of the suspect, and that he stole the victim's moped.

Upon arrival, officers were flagged down by the victim who advised officers that his moped was stolen, and he was able to track it to this particular location. Officers were told that when the victim attempted to retrieve the moped, the suspect threatened him with a knife.

Officers were able to locate the suspect sleeping in a box truck. As officers gave verbal commands for the suspect to exit the vehicle, he pushed one of the officers and a struggle ensued. Officers were able to place the suspect into handcuffs, and recovered a knife from his right pant pocket.

Williams was placed under arrest and charged with two counts of Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, Receiving Stolen Property over $1,200, and Intimidation of a Witness. Officers later determined the suspect also had three active warrants for his arrest. He is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
