Fatal collision on I-190

On June 30, 2024 at 2:10 A.M., Troopers out of SP Buffalo responded to the south bound lane of I-190 near exit 8 in the city of Buffalo for a one vehicle collision. Investigation determined that a 2000 Nissan Altima was traveling southbound on the I-190 at a high rate of speed. The operator, Damaree M. Lattimore, 20 of Hamburg, NY lost control and struck the end of the median on the deceleration ramp on Exit 8. Lattimore was deceased on scene and the 19-year-old passenger was ejected from the vehicle sustaining severe injuries. The passenger was not wearing a seat belt. The deceased was taken to Erie County Medical Center for an autopsy.
NYSP Collision Reconstruction Unit and the Bureau of Criminal Investigation assisted in this investigation.
