Detectives Investigate Fatal Shooting in Chinatown International District

Detectives are investigating a homicide in Chinatown International District Neighborhood.

Shortly after 4:30 a.m., 911 Dispatch (CARE) received a report of a shooting in the 500 Block of 8th Avenue South.

Police arrived and found a 35-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds.

Officers provided aid until Seattle Fire Department arrived. Despite life-saving efforts the male succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.

The circumstances that led up to the shooting are unknown at this time.

Homicide Unit detectives responded to the scene and are working to determine the circumstances that led up to the shooting.
