On July 21, 2024, State Police of Princetown arrested Arkise D. Alexander, 21, of Schenectady, NY, for Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the second degree, a class "C" felony, and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the fourth degree, a class "E" felony.

On July 21, 2024, at about 5:41 p.m., Troopers stopped a vehicle on Freemans Bridge Road in Glenville, NY, for a Vehicle and Traffic Law violation. During the investigation, Alexander was identified as a passenger in the unregistered and uninsured vehicle and discovered to possess a handgun illegally. Further investigation determined the seized handgun was reported stolen from the state of North Carolina in 2019.

Alexander was arrested and transported to SP Princetown for processing. The vehicle driver was issued tickets and released along with other passengers. Alexander was then transported to the Schenectady County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.
