State Police investigate fatal Charlton crash

On July 20, 2024, State Police of Saratoga responded to the reports of a vehicle fire in the area of State Road in Charlton, NY.

On July 20, 2024, at about 5:29 a.m. State Police responded to the reports of a crash with a fully involved vehicle fire in the area of Stage Road in Charlton, NY. The investigation determined the car was southbound on Stage Road when it left the roadway, struck a tree, and subsequently caught fire. The driver of the vehicle, who was declared deceased at the scene, has been identified as Nicholas J. Criscone, 50, of Charlton, NY.

The crash remains under investigation.
