On November 4, 2024, at approximately 7:40 a.m., the New York State Police responded to State Route 104 near Portland Ave in East Irondequoit for a report of a school that was shot at.

A preliminary investigation has revealed what appears to be a projectile that struck the side windows of the Aquinas Institute School Bus. The bus was transporting ten high school-age students. No one was injured during the incident.

This is an ongoing investigation.
