Johnson Gooden-Prunty, 29, of Schenectady, NY, was also arrested for Burglary in the third degree, Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the fifth degree, and Conspiracy in the fifth degree.

On September 7, 2024, at about 8:32 a.m. Troopers responded to the area of Castle Pines Drive in Clifton Park, NY, for the reports of two suspicious men. The area was searched, but the individuals were not located.

A short time later, Troopers responded to the reports of a man matching the description from the suspicious person complaint, who was observed entering an unoccupied building without permission in the area of Bruno Road in Clifton Park, NY. Law enforcement responded to the area and, with the assistance of the Saratoga County Sheriff's Officer, Gooden-Prunty was located and detained nearby. Gooden-Prunty was identified as the individual who reportedly unlawfully entered the unoccupied building and was in possession of stolen property when arrested. After an extensive search of the area and a lengthy foot pursuit, Sheppard was also taken into custody near Glenbrook Court. Sheppard was also in possession of stolen property. Both suspects allegedly worked together, entering multiple unsecured vehicles in the area and stole items of monetary value from them.

During this investigation, Sheppard was identified as the suspect in a Burglary that occurred during the overnight hours of August 6, 2024, into August 7, 2024, in Ballston Spa, NY. The investigation determined that Sheppard allegedly unlawfully entered a garage attached to an occupied home in Ballston Spa, NY, and stole items from the vehicles within.

Sheppard and Gooden-Prunty were transported to SP Clifton Park, where they were processed for all charges. They were both arraigned at the Clifton Park Town Court and remanded to the Saratoga County Correctional Facility in lieu of $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond.
