BRAMPTON, ON - Every year on November 11, Canadians pause for a moment of silence to honour and remember those who served and continue to serve Canada in times of war, conflict and peace.
City Hall and all City facilities will be closed on Monday, November 11. All essential and critical services, including Fire and Emergency Services, Traffic Services, By-Law Enforcement, Road Operations and Security Services will continue to operate as usual to support the community.
Service Brampton
Brampton Transit
Brampton Transit will operate on a regular weekday schedule on Remembrance Day. Our Clark and Sandalwood facilities will be closed on Monday, November 11, including our Lost and Found.
War veterans ride free on Brampton Transit on Remembrance Day. A veteran can be identified by producing a Brampton Transit Veteran Pass or any of the following items:
Customer Service counters at the terminals will be open. Our Contact Centre is available to assist you from 7 am to 9 pm at 905.874.2999.
Brampton Transit Veteran Pass Program
City Council and Brampton Transit are proud to honour the accomplishments and sacrifices of all Canadian Armed Forces members. Veterans who are residents of Brampton can ride Brampton Transit for free when they show their valid Brampton Transit Veteran Pass upon boarding.
Brampton Parks
All Brampton recreational trails, playgrounds and parks, including off-leash dog parks, remain open on Remembrance Day.
Brampton Recreation
All recreation facilities will be operating under regular business hours on November 11, with no impacts to registered programming.
Brampton Animal Services
The Brampton Animal Shelter will be closed on Remembrance Day. Animal Control will be on the road from 8 am to 6:30 pm and will continue to respond to emergency calls outside of these hours.
Brampton Library
All Brampton Library branches will be closed on November 11.
