Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 14723 West Oaks Plaza Drive

September 16, 2024- Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a male at 14723 West Oaks Plaza Drive about 10:55 p.m. on Saturday (September 14).

The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants C. LaFour, A. Lopez and Detectives G. Zavala and N. Sharp reported:

HPD patrol officers responded to a suspicious person with a weapon call at an apartment complex at the above address after a caller reported hearing gunshots and seeing people running away with weapons. Officers arrived and found an unresponsive male with a gunshot wound. Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.

At this time, there is no known motive or suspect(s).
